About CELO

We are a collective of eco lodge owners who are passionate about offering our guests an authentic nature based visitor experience.  Our properties are designed and operationalized for sustainable, environment-friendly living.

We are a non-profit organization that strives to:

  • Make Sri Lanka renowned as an eco-tourism destination, by engaging with industry stakeholders both locally and internationally, and with policy makers.
  • Set the gold standard for eco-lodges in Sri Lanka through a certification process.
  • Conduct promotional activities through networking and social media to generate sales for members.

We welcome like-minded owners of eco-lodges, who are committed to the principles and values we share, to join the association. Our members aspire to meet or exceed nine of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
